As part of my move to San Francisco I took a few days (7/2/09 - 7/6/09) to drive down the Oregon and California coasts. Why take I-5 when you can have leisurely drive down US 101 and US 1? If you have the chance there is tons to see on both coasts, though I would say that the Oregon coast as a series has more to offer the sightseer.
